Earlier this year, I received my official approval to attend the OGP Global Summit 2025. Held from October 6–10, 2025, in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain.

This marked my second recognition and invitation to join the 2025 Open Government Partnership community at a global level. Following my participation at the OGP Summit in Ottawa, Canada.
Being selected again among journalists, reformers, and civic leaders from around the world, was a great honor and a strong encouragement. To continue advocating for transparency, accountability, and citizen participation through my work in the media field.
And unfortunately, due to professional responsibilities in Tunisia, I was unable to travel and attend the summit in person.
It was a difficult decision, as I was eager to cover the event as a freelance journalist and contribute to global discussions on open governance.
However, even though I couldn’t be there for OGP Summit 2025 physically, I made sure to follow the summit sessions and updates online. Staying connected with the ideas, announcements, and inspiring discussions shared by global leaders and reformers.
The event once again demonstrated how the OGP community continues to push boundaries in building open, inclusive, and accountable governments.
While I missed this opportunity for on-the-ground media coverage. I remain deeply committed to promoting open government values and transparency in Tunisia and beyond.
This second invitation from the OGP Secretariat serves as a reminder that persistence, curiosity, and engagement matter. And that meaningful change often starts with staying informed and connected.
